Introduction to Freebie Trading

Freebie trading is a great way to make some extra cash. It is one of those things where you get out of it what you put into it. The harder you work the more money you make. It is by no means a fly by night get rich quick scheme.

To get started in the world of freebies there are a few things that you must know. This is basically how a freebie site works.

The sites that we work with are called "Incentive Free Websites" aka IFW's.

There is an “ADVERTISER”, for this example we will use Blockbuster online. Blockbuster has an affiliate program where they will pay what we call an “AFFILIATE” advertising money to find sites to post their deals on. The purpose of this is to get leads of potential customers. The advertisers goal is to hook someone with a free trial and when the person likes their service then they get them as a paying customer. Don't believe me? Check out Blockbusters website and look for anything about affiliates.

The AFFILIATE has many advertisers that pay them to bring in leads. The special that the advertiser is giving the affiliates to promote is an “OFFER”. The affiliates will pay website owners money to advertise the offers on their websites.

This is where someone stepped up and decided, hey if I get a bunch of affiliates and host many offers on my websites then I can give people part of the profit that I get paid for advertising. Hence freebie sites were born.

So now their are many networks of freebie site owners. You complete offers on their sites and get referrals and they reward you with prizes or cash for the work that you have done. It comes from the money that they are paid by the affiliates for advertising the offer on their website.

There are different types of sites. DIY, referral, and GPT.

DIY sites are sites where the only thing you have to do is complete offers. You complete many offers for whatever prize they are offering and then you are done. Every once in awhile you may need to get 1 or 2 referrals to finish the site. (These are the kind you run across when you see an ad for a free giftcard or an email for a free item of some sort)

Referral sites are the ones that I use and are the most popular and easiest to complete. You complete a couple of offers and then you refer people to do the same. You can get your referrals from anywhere. The most popular place to get them are freebie trading forums. I will talk more about these later.

GPT sites or Get Paid To sites are basically little DIY type sites that will give you cash for completing offers and reading surveys and stuff. There are many of these around but you get more for your money with the other two options.
